Selection of monitoring locations for storm water quality assessment \ Water science and technology : a journal of the International Association on Water Pollution Research [Artikel]
Langeveld, J.G. \ Boogaard, F. \ Liefting, H.J. \ Schilperoort, R.P.S. \ Hof, A. \ Nijhof, H. \ Ridder, A.C. de \ 2014
Storm water runoff is a major contributor to the pollution of receiving waters. Storm water characteristics may vary significantly between locations and events. Hence, for each given location, this necessitates a well-designed monitoring campaign pri ...

A bottom-up approach to estimate dry weather flow in minor sewer networks \ Water science and technology : a journal of the International Association on Water Pollution Research [Artikel]
Elias-Maxil, J.A. \ Hoek, J.P. van der \ Hofman, J. \ Rietveld, L. \ 2014
In order to evaluate the feasibility of installing decentralised installations for wastewater reuse in cities, information about flows at specific spots of a sewer is needed. However, measuring intermittent flows in partially filled conduits is a tec ...

The efficiency of asset management strategies to reduce urban flood risk \ Water science and technology : a journal of the International Association on Water Pollution Research [Artikel]
Veldhuis, J.A.E. ten \ Clemens, F.H.L.R. \ 2011
In this study, three asset management strategies were compared with respect to their efficiency to reduce flood risk. Data from call centres at two municipalities were used to quantify urban flood risks associated with three causes of urban flooding: ...

Impact of summer droughts on water quality of the Rhine river : a preview of climate change? \ Water science and technology : a journal of the International Association on Water Pollution Research [Artikel]
Zwolsman, J.J.G. \ Bokhoven, A.J. van \ 2007
It is generally recognized that climate change will affect the discharge regime of the Rhine River. Especially the anticipated increase in extreme river discharges (floods and droughts) poses serious problems to water management, both with regard to ...

Climatic change and the effect on hydrology and water management in the Rhine basin \ Water science and technology : a journal of the International Association on Water Pollution Research [Artikel]
Krahe, P. \ Buiteveld, H. \ Pfister, L. \ 2005
There has been a marked increase in recent years in the resources dedicated to investigating the problems arising from climate change with respect to hydrology and to some extent to water resource management. Many of these studies are concentrated on ...

Climate change and effects on water quality: a first impression \ Water science and technology : a journal of the International Association on Water Pollution Research [Artikel]
Senhorst, H.A.J. \ Zwolsman, J.J.G. \ 2005
A number of possible relationships between climate change and water quality of Dutch surface waters have been investigated and an indicative quantification of the impact of climate change on water quality has been established. The analysis focused on ...

Hydrological simulations in the Rhine basin \ Water science and technology : a journal of the International Association on Water Pollution Research [Artikel]
Hurk, B. van den \ Beersma, J. \ Lenderink, G. \ 2005
Simulations with regional climate models (RCMs), carried out for the Rhine basin, have been analyzed in the context of implications of the possible future discharge of the Rhine river. In a first analysis, the runoff generated by the RCMs is compared ...
