Toelichting (Engels) The main objective of this thesis is to determine whether the application of mass stabilisation for improving the inward macro-stability of Dutch regional flood defences is technically feasible. The main research question for this study is formulated as follows: ‘Is the application of mass stabilisation for improving the inward macro-stability of regional flood defences by stabilising strips of soil technically feasible?’
