Abstract Het afremmen van de verdamping van kasgewassen met behulp van een emulsie die over de planten wordt gespoten, vermindert in tomaat 's winters het energieverbruik met 6 tot 10 procent. Dat blijkt uit verkennend onderzoek van Plant Research International (PRI) en Agrotechnology & Food Innovations (A&F) in Wageningen. Tuinders zijn echter per definitie huiverig om met zogenaamde 'antitranspiratia' aan zo'n wezenlijk onderdeel van het plantenleven te sleutelen
