Abstract Phasefeeding during gestation increases the percentage of sows that returns to estrus in parity1 and 2 sows but not in older sows. Other reproductive traits are not affected by phasefeeding. Phasefeeding reduces the nitrogen and phosphorus excretion with 4.5% per sow per year.
