Abstract Aarfusarium in wintertarwe kan de kwaliteit sterk negatief beïnvloeden door de productie van mycotoxinen (DON). De bestrijding kan alleen geïntegreerd worden aangepakt met rassenkeuze, teeltmaatregelen, fungiciden en bewaaromstandigheden. Concrete aanknopingspunten uit buitenlands onderzoek zijn van 2000-2003 getoetst op hun praktische bruikbaarheid onder Nederlandse omstandigheden.
