Abstract De bestrijding van schimmels met fungiciden in boomgaarden in de herfst is gevaarlijk vanwege resistentieontwikkeling. Vinasse en ureum stimuleren de bladvertering enorm. Bovendien remmen ze de productie van ascosporen. Zo ontstaan er minder schurftschimmel en zwartvruchtrotschimmel. Ook sanitaire maatregelen zoals bladversnippering en poetsen blijken effectief te werken. De praktijktoepassing van sanitaire maatregelen kent nog veel beperkingen en hangt voornamelijk af van een droog moment na de bladvalperiode
