'Staff publications' is the digital repository of Wageningen University & Research

'Staff publications' contains references to publications authored by Wageningen University staff from 1976 onward.

Publications authored by the staff of the Research Institutes are available from 1995 onwards.

Full text documents are added when available. The database is updated daily and currently holds about 240,000 items, of which 72,000 in open access.

We have a manual that explains all the features

Wageningen : SEAMLESS (Report / Seamless no. 21) - ISBN 9085850487 - 44
informatiesystemen - databanken - informatietechnologie - modellen - information systems - databases - information technology - models
This project deliverable provides the underlying architecture of a concept for linking models and databases and it provides the design of SeamFrame, delivering its architecture to provide an integration framework for models and simulation algorithms, supported by procedures for data handling and spatial representation, quality control, output visualization and documentation
Development of a conceptual framework for integrated analysis and assessment of agricultural systems in SEAMLESS-IF
Ewert, F. ; Ittersum, M.K. van; Bezlepkina, I. ; Oude Lansink, A.G.J.M. ; Brouwer, F.M. ; Andersen, E. ; Flichman, G. ; Heckelei, T. ; Olsson, J. ; Olsson, L. ; Rizolli, A. ; Wal, T. van der; Wery, J. - \ 2005
Wageningen : SEAMLESS (SEAMLESS report no. 1) - 62
systeemanalyse - simulatiemodellen - plattelandsontwikkeling - duurzaamheid (sustainability) - europa - systems analysis - simulation models - rural development - sustainability - europe
The report is divided into two parts. The first part describes basic concepts of systems analysis, sustainability and sustainable development, and integrated assessment and modelling that are potentially relevant for the present project. It further reviews the role of indicator, models, scenarios and case studies for impact assessments and provides information about possible technical solutions together with a general introduction into participatory methods including the communication of knowledge. The second part of the report describes the conceptual basis that is proposed for SEAMLESS-IF to enable integrated analysis and assessment of agricultural systems. Three levels of conceptualisation are distinguished and refer to: 1. delineation of the theoretical framework for analysis and assessment. 2. specification of the procedure (workflow) for analysis and assessment. 3. model formulation
