Mobile apps and mobile websites

Scientific publishers and other service providers are developing applications ("Apps") for smartphones and tablet PC's to give access to their content from these devices. Other providers develop websites that have been optimized for such devices. A number of relevant applications have been listed below, but the list can never be exhaustive as new "Apps" are becoming available regularly. "Apps" can be downloaded from the usual locations, like Android Market for Android or Apps Store for iPhone/iPad. Mobile sites can be accessed from the device's browser. If no proce is mentioned applications are free of charge.
