EndNote is citation mangement software that allows you to organise citations and research notes. It also facilitates the layout of literature references in articles, books or theses. EndNote is closely integrated with your Word processor, and makes the inclusion of references really easy. In this beginners' course of half a day you will learn the basics of EndNote. The course consists of the following parts:
- Creating a reference database and filling the database with data from a wide range of bibliographic databases (e.g. CAB Abstracts, Web of Science).
- Managing and searching your reference database.
- Including selected references in your own text in MS Word, and
- Producing reference lists according to certain journal specifications.
After an introduction the participants are guided through the program by a range of exercises. A brief manual is available. For students of Wageningen UR a free self-instruction programme is available on our web site.
