Reading and borrowing books is free if you come to one of the Wageningen UR Library locations. At these libraries you can also make photocopies of library materials at very low cost.
However, if you can't come to the library, you can use the document delivery service that Wageningen UR Library offers for items from its collection.
This is a fee-based service. Below you will find an overview of the charges.
Through this web site, you can send in requests for book loans and photocopies using an online form.
Who can order?
Photocopies can be ordered by Wageningen UR staff and students, Dutch and foreign libraries as well as by individuals from any country in the world except the Netherlands *).Requests for book loans will be honoured only if made by Wageningen UR staff and students, libraries in the Netherlands or libraries in other European countries.
*: Private persons in the Netherlands should contact the library of their organization or institute or their local public library.
Conditions for online ordering
If you want to use the online service to request book loans or order photocopies, the following conditions must be met:
- You must be registered as a borrower of Wageningen UR Library.
All Wageningen UR staff and students are automatically registered as borrowers.
Others can register by filling out a borrower registration form. You can also register at the lending desk of one of the Wageningen UR Library locations.
- You must be logged in to My Library.
If you don't have a My Library account yet, you can set it up now.
- The e-mail address that you used to register for My Library and the e-mail address in our borrowers register
must be the same.
If you need to check the data in your borrower's registration
record, please contact our Service Desk.
How does it work?
- Through the Wageningen UR Library SFX service
When you are using the Wageningen Catalogue or one of the SFX-enabled bibliographic databases in the Wageningen Desktop Library, click the
button and choose the option 'Request this publication from Wageningen UR Library'.
Then follow the instructions on the screen. Help is available. - By clicking the "request a copy" link
In some of the databases in the Digital Library you will not see an SFX-button with each record, but a link 'request a copy' or (in Dutch) 'aanvragen' will appear in the upper right corner of the record. Click this link, then follow the instructions on the screen. - By filling out an empty request form
If you have a reference from some other source, you can fill out an empty request form. You can use one of the forms below:- loan or photocopy request for a book (or part of a book)
- photocopy request for a journal article
In these forms, you will have to provide all the data on the requested document yourself, which can easily
lead to mistakes. We therefore recommend you to try to look up the book or journal in our
catalogue and order your document through the
button.
If you have any problems with the ordering process,
please contact the Service Desk.
What if we don't have it?
In case the book or article requested can not be delivered from our collections, requests made by Wageningen UR staff and students will automatically be processed through the Dutch Inter Library Lending Service.
Charges for loans and photocopies from other libraries through Inter Library Lending will be determined by these libraries.
