Book reservations

If a book is out on loan, you can ask the library to reserve it for you. This service is free of charge.

You can do this by going to the library in person, by sending an e-mail to or by telephone (0317 482250). It is not possible to reserve items online.

You will be asked to provide your WURcard number, or -if you don't have that- your name and address. Library staff will enter your request into the automated circulation system.

As soon as the book is brought back by the previous borrower, an e-mail will be sent to you. You can then pick up the book at the library. (If you are a WUR employee, the book will be sent to you by the WUR courier service (bodedienst) free of charge.)

If you are logged in to your My Library account, you can see an overview of the items that have been reserved for you, or are waiting for you at one of the Wageningen UR libraries.

  • Books that are not out on loan can not be reserved.
  • If you do not want to pick up the books yourself, you can ask for a loan through our document delivery service. However, this is not free of charge (except for Wageningen UR employees).
