Records of the publication type standard will be imported in EndNote as reference type "Generic" and need some editing after importing. 2. For records of the publication type "Conference Proceeding" the contents of the SO field will be placed in the EndNote "Notes" field and some adjustments after importing will be necessary. Thereby, it might be necessary to modify the EndNote reference type from "Conference Proceeding" to "Journal Article". Also, the Conference name and location may be edited after importing from the SO field that is placed in the EndNote "Notes" field. 3. For records of the publication type "Thesis" the information from the SO field will be placed in the EndNote "Notes" field and may need some editing after importing. Address information from the AD field is placed in the EndNote field "University". 4. For records of the publication type "Report" the information from the SO field will be imported in EndNote in the "Notes" field. After importing from the Notes field some information (e.g. report number) might need to be replaced to other EndNote fields. 5. For records of the publication type "Journal Article" or "Review" the contents of the SO field will be placed to different EndNote fields according to the defined template. However, in case the data do not fit the template, the imformation is imported in the EndNote "Notes" field and may need some editing after import. 6. For records of the publication type "Patent" information on the company that holds the patent (i.e. the company where the inventors works) is placed in the EndNote field "Inventor address". 7.
