Toelichting (Engels) A breaking point in the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources is the inability of renewable energy to cover peak demands, wherein the amount of energy demanded is higher than the amount of renewable energy generated. Therefore the ability to deal with the fluctuations that occur in renewable energy supply and energy demand over the year was investigated for a system in which renewable energy is stored in biogas.
