Toelichting (Engels) Thermal gasification of biomass and waste is a multi-purpose, CO2 neutral technology, which enables production of renewable heat and electricity as well as biofuels and chemicals. In this IEA Bioenergy Task 33 special report, the attention was given to production of renewable gaseous and liquid biofuels in combination with renewable hydrogen from surplus electricity. The motivation of this report are the rapidly decreasing prices of solar-and wind energy as well as the possibility of the surplus electricity storage in form of renewable fuels (called also electrofuels).

To support researchers to publish their research Open Access, deals have been negotiated with various publishers. Depending on the deal, a discount is provided for the author on the Article Processing Charges that need to be paid by the author to publish an article Open Access. A discount of 100% means that (after approval) the author does not have to pay Article Processing Charges.

For the approval of an Open Access deal for an article, the corresponding author of this article must be affiliated with Wageningen University & Research.
