Toelichting This paper discusses the mechanisms of the influence of microorganisms on soil aggregate stablility. Further, it discusses the effect of microbial inoculation. It is stated that the prospects of inoculation are exciting, but it might only become economic when inoculation is multifunctional (also providing nutrients or acting as a biocontrol agent)
