Toelichting The problem of rising expenditure on housing by private households illustrated by data from the National Accounts of the OECD countries. The cause of the rise in the macro housing/income ratio is presented, which leads to the question: does a large share of (relatively cheap) rented dwellings lead to a greater demand for housing ?
