Toelichting (Engels) Five types of crop rotations practized in Sikkim Himalaya were evaluated on crop preference, productivity, profitability, resource requirements (land, labour and power), soil quality, and risk. Three types of crop rotations (maize-pulse; maize-potato; maize-ginger-pulse) are practized in rainfed conditions and one type (paddy-fallow) in irrigated conditions. A large cardamom-based agroforestry system was included for comparisons
