Toelichting (Engels) This non-technical guidance is intended to be an introduction to the challenges, themes and concepts involved in promoting the freedom of movement of fish in the river continuum. It is aimed not only at fisheries professionals but also at all who exert influence and have an interest in the riverine environment. It highlights good practices and, for those who must put aspirations into practice, it directs the reader to sources of technically detailed guidelines for the constructions of fish passes and related facilities.
