Toelichting (Engels) The EU Water Framework Directive has transformed approaches to water management in Europe. It addresses the river basin scale, prompting new approaches that can deal with the water system as a whole. It also promotes the participation of a variety of stakeholders with different interests and types of knowledge. Information and knowledge from diverse sources are the basis for effective evidence based policy making. What information and knowledge is needed from different scientific disciplines to inform river basin management?
