Toelichting (Engels) Since in the ecological model study as performed in that research phytoplankton and phytobenthos were included, but no higher trophic levels, it was suggested to perform another ecosystem model study that does include higher trophic levels. In this report, such a model set‐up is presented. First, a short overview of existing (model‐)knowledge will be presented, including their strengths and shortcomings. Next, the present EcoWasp‐model is introduced, and possible improvements or needed extensions are mentioned. Also, the developed WasMo‐model (Gerla et al, 2014) will be mentioned.
