Toelichting (Engels) Four membranes differing in hydrophobic and hydrophilic character. All membranes showed similar temporal changes of extracellular polymeric substances. Membranes with modified surfaces did not affect the EPS composition. Sulfonated polysulfone had the lowest zeta potential, TMP and EPS. Membranes with modified surfaces should be tested for extended durations.
