Toelichting (Engels) In this research river management of the Overijsselse Vecht within the period 1750 and 1900 was investigated and river morphology was reconstructed. For this research historical archives have been consulted and maps and cross-profiles from reports of W. Staring and T.J. Stieltjes (1848 and 1872) have been used. The goal of this research was to investigate the role of river management on the reported deteriorated state of the Overijsselse Vecht. Results of this research can be used for future river restoration projects.
