Toelichting (Engels) As it is expected that the river Rhine catchment will experience severe droughts in the future, it is important to get to know its moisture sources. This is done by analysing the behaviour of evaporation and precipitation and the transport of atmospheric moisture using present and future simulations of one high-resolution global climate model. Furthermore, the atmospheric moisture sources from which the evaporation result in precipitation over the Rhine catchment are determined.
