Abstract Dit rapport behandelt de gevolgen van de in november 2005 door de Europese ministersvan landbouw genomen besluiten over de suikermarktordening. Na een beschrijving van debesluiten worden besproken de consequenties voor het inkomen van bietentelers en voor detoekomst van de bietenteelt in Nederland. Vervolgens wordt ingegaan op de effecten vande besluiten voor de Europese suikermarkt.This report reviews the consequences of the November 2005 sugar-market decisions takenby the European ministers of agriculture. The report explains the content of these decisions,and then continues with a discussion of the consequences for the sugar beet farmers'income and for the future of Dutch sugar beet cultivation. The report concludes with the effectof the decisions on the European sugar market.
