Abstract Kasteelt wint het de komende tientallen jaren nog ruim van teelt in afgesloten cellen. Dat blijkt uit berekeningen van Wageningen UR Glastuinbouw. Kasteelt is qua energieverbruik momenteel tien keer efficiënter dan cellenteelt. Voor sla is dat 6,5 keer. De reden hiervoor is dat bij cellenteelt alle energie moet worden toegevoerd, terwijl de kasteelt profiteert van gratis zonne-energie.
