Abstract De Hieracium-excursie van september was speciaal gericht op de Boshavikskruid-groep (Hieracium sabaudum sensu lato), die in Twente een van haar bolwerken in Nederland heeft. Over de standplaats van ‘Hieracium sabaudum’ bestond enig verschil van inzicht. Volgens de Oecologische Flora staat Boshavikskruid in houtwallen, verder aan bosranden op lemige, vochthoudende, min of meer kalkarme maar niet sterk zure grond, en op oeverwallen van bosbeken (Weeda et al., 1991). De Vegetatie van Nederland zegt echter dat de bodem op de standplaats van het Hieracio-Holcetum mollis minder lemig en/of minder humeus is dan bij het Hyperico pulchri-Melampyretum pratensis. Wel of niet lemig?
