Abstract Het agrarisch natuurbeheer in slootkanten staat centraal, met als doel de diversiteit aan plantensoorten langs slootkanten toe te laten nemen. De afgelopen tien jaar hebben namelijk verschillende onderzoeken aangetoond dat tot nu toe de effectiviteit van agrarisch natuurbeheer beperkt is geweest. In dit proefschrift is zowel vanuit ecologisch als psychologisch perspectief onderzocht welke factoren het resultaat van het agrarisch natuurbeheer hebben beperkt.
