|Abstract||Codling moth Cydia pomonella is an important pest of fruit crops in Europe. Pheromone mating disruption can be an effective tool to control this pest. In recent years, low density pheromone dispenser systems have been developed, using a few aerosol puffers per hectare. Application of the technique requires less labour than
traditional hand applied mating disruption, but efficacy of puffer systems may be prone to adverse effects of weather and orchard topography. We investigated how to mitigate these effects.
