'Staff publications' is the digital repository of Wageningen University & Research

'Staff publications' contains references to publications authored by Wageningen University staff from 1976 onward.

Publications authored by the staff of the Research Institutes are available from 1995 onwards.

Full text documents are added when available. The database is updated daily and currently holds about 240,000 items, of which 72,000 in open access.

We have a manual that explains all the features

Monitoring bat activity at the Dutch EEZ in 2014
    Lagerveld, S. ; Jonge Poerink, B. ; Vries, P. de - \ 2015
    Den Helder : IMARES (Report / IMARES Wageningen UR C094/15) - 33

IMARES conducted studies in 2012 and 2013 to monitor offshore bat activity with passive acoustic ultrasonic recorders. In the follow-up project reported here, more data on the offshore occurrence of bats was collected in 2014. Using the same methodology as in 2012 and 2013, bat activity was monitored from spring to autumn in both wind farms (OWEZ & PAWP) and two additional locations: the IJmuiden meteorological mast (85 km west of Callantsoog) and at the coast near Egmond aan Zee.
Zuur bestrijden met ultrasoon geluid onderzocht
    Duyvesteijn, R.G.E. ; Boon, L. den; Vermeulen, P. - \ 2010
    BloembollenVisie 2010 (2010)209. - ISSN 1571-5558 - p. 28 - 28.

Nader onderzoek is nodig.
KB-WOT Quality assurance acoustics: overview and protocols 2008 version
    Ybema, M.S. - \ 2009
    IJmuiden : IMARES (Report / Wageningen IMARES 09.003) - 30
    visserij - karteringen - visserijbeheer - visbestand - ultrasoon sporen - kwaliteitsnormen - methodologie - onderwaterakoestiek - protocollen - fisheries - surveys - fishery management - fishery resources - ultrasonic tracking - quality standards - methodology - underwater acoustics - protocols
The quality of IMARES' acoustic surveys proved quite unstable in recent years despite extra effort in this field to bring this instability down. The amount of involved scientists in acoustics has been small compared to demersal survey work. Therefore scientific standards of acoustic surveys are relatively low compared resulting in poor standardisation and minimal transparency. Highly specialised technical work made it even more difficult to exchange scientists within IMARES and the quality of acoustic surveys proved to be very sensitive to loss or change in personnel. This situation improved drastically in 2008 when more scientists got involved in acoustic projects and more effort was put in standardisation.
Assessment of Sardinella and other Small Pelagics in West Africa
    Corten, A.A.H.M. - \ 2004
    IJmuiden : RIVO (RIVO report C042/04) - 18
pelagische visserij - visbestand - visstand - duurzaamheid (sustainability) - ultrasoon sporen - akoestisch sporen - mauritanië - pelagic fishery - fishery resources - fish stocks - sustainability - ultrasonic tracking - acoustic tracking - mauritania
The year 2003 was the sixth year of the cooperation between RIVO and the Mauritanian fisheries research institute IMROP (Institut Mauritanien des Recherches Océanographiques et de Pêche). It was also the second year of the current contract between RIVO and the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. The cooperation between the Dutch and Mauritanian institutes is aimed at the transfer of technology and experience in the field of pelagic stock assessment. By increasing Mauritania’s capacity for pelagic stock assessment, prospects are improved for a sustainable management of pelagic resources in the area.
