Abstract

Three models for deriving weather indices for grassland production are described and were applied over the 1948-64 period. The meteorological and agronomic models, but not the trend model, could also be used to calculate weather indices outside this period. The results of the 3 methods differed considerably. The meteorological model was most suitable for calculating a weather index for a long period. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)
