Cadmium and lead in compounded feeds.
AbstractCadmium and lead were estimated in 452 compounded feeds for dairy cattle, sows, piglets, growing pigs, layers and broiler chickens. The average Cd content was 0.126 to 0.174 mg/kg. In 88% of samples Cd content was <0.2 mg/kg. In only 2 samples Cd was >0.5 mg/kg. The average Pb content was 0.82 to 1.70 mg/kg. The maximum permissible concentration of 5.0 mg/kg was exceeded in only 2 samples. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)
