Abstract

Compound feeds containing 43, 76 or 113 g crude fibre in DM were given to 22 adult sows and 18 growing male pigs. Digestibilities of DM, organic matter and crude protein were decreased with increased crude fibre in the diet, were decreased with increased intake from 1.2 times maintenance to 2.4 times maintenance and were increased with increased body weights.
