Abstract

A computer programme is described for selecting a subset of independent variables for prediction of a dependent variable. The programme is illustrated by data taken over three years on tillering, date of head emergence, plant erectness, tiller dry weight, plant fresh weight and head number in Setaria sphacelata 'Nandi 1'.
