Abstract

The author attempts to estimate the value of studies of weed biology to weed control practice. It is agreed that much of the biological information available on weeds is not helpful in control and often is not intended to be. A series of proposals is made to provide evidence that a knowledge of some neglected aspects of the biology of weeds might greatly assist in achieving the weed-free environment. The need for a much closer liaison between weed biologists and those concerned with the control of weeds is stressed.-s. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)
