Abstract

The radioactivity of two commercial preparations of Cu-64 did not decay in a straight logarithmic line because of longer-lived, unidentified isotypes present as impurities. It was estimated that a residual activity of several tenths of a micro c could be expected from every 10 mc of such contaminated Cu-64. Cu-64 practically free from long-lived contaminants was produced by irradiation of very pure melted copper wire for only 20 min.-M.G.G. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)
