Abstract

A discussion of the importance of soil temperature (optimum temperatures, effect of mulches & ridge-furrow systems), porosity (as affected by secondary aggregate size & compacting pressure), & moisture storage (governed by pore size), as prevailing in the micro-relief created by tillage tools.
