Abstract

The effect of fertilization with the nitrates of K, Na, Mg and Ga on the mineral composition of Lolium perenne was studied in a pot culture experiment. Regardless of the cation used, the effect of the nitrate application was to increase the N-and cation-contents and to lower the Cl, S and P contents. The cation: anion ratio was independent of the amount of fertilizer applied.-From author's summary. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)
