aradijs, Zoete (as far as we know not described earlier).
Origin no longer known.
SHAPE: as in our illustration, sometimes longer.
SIZE: third grade.
EYE: half closed, sepals medium length, grey, woolly, basin less deep as illustrated here.
STALK: short, sometimes medium length, woody, cavity narrow and shallow.
The COLOUR is as illustrated here.
The FLESH is firm, crispy, juicy, sweet with some tartness.
TIME OF USE: March - April, even longer if well stored. Of the third grade for cooking.
The TREE is a moderate grower, branches go straight up, fertile variety, much loved by country people, although in our opinion better varieties exist. The apple travels well.
