Its origin is probably Germany; we received it from OBERDIECK.

SHAPE: no variations.

SIZE: fourth grade.

EYE: closed; long, pointed and upright sepals, which stay green; medium broad and deep basin, surrounded by very small folds and ribs, some of them reaching to the cavity.

STALK: thin, woody, in a narrow, medium deep cavity, often with a grey-brown russeting.

The COLOUR of the smooth and shiny, very fine skin is whitish yellow, often mixed with some green, almost entirely white at the shadow side, at the sun side a slight red blush; small lenticels in thin green circles; the apple looks waxy and has a bloom while still on the tree.

The FLESH is white, fine, soft, pleasantly sour; medium sized core, many pips.

TIME OF USE: end of August - beginning of September; the apple can last for three weeks; second grade for dessert, too small for the kitchen.

The TREE is a moderate grower and very fertile; most suitable as standard tree or pyramid; summer twigs are long, thin and brown-red, woolly, leaves are small.
