5S1: Introduction - Visions for circularity: critical exploration of the implementation of the concept of a circular society

Abstract

In this session we will explore visions for a circular society. We will bring together social scientists and natural scientists working on different aspects of a circular society and aim to explore were developed knowledge is complementary or contradictory. We aim to explore questions such as; what is a circular society? What can a circular household, circular neighborhood and circular collaborations look like? What are possible limitations, and what are ways to develop visions to further accelerate the transition to a circular society?
